Summer in the Hajar Mountains…

Edventure Camps in the summer heat of Oman have not proven very successful in the past, until now.  Over the past four years GET has worked with sister company Arabian Overland to offer summer camps in the Hajar Mountains of Oman.  IMG_2872 copy

Whilst the temperatures soar to nearly 50 degrees celsius in Muscat and the lower regions, the Hajar Mountain range offers an ideal location to continue with our GECO Camps.  With temperatures maxing at approximately 30 degrees celsius and dropping to nearly 12 degrees at night, both Jebal Shams and Jebal al Akdhar offer the perfect climate for our summer programmes.IMG_0201 copy

A special evening complemented the trip with the addition of a highly successful star-gazing event led by the Oman Astronomical Society and the use of their newly installed telescope providing a glimpse of the stars and planets.DSCF3846 copy

A fantastic couple of weeks for all of those involved, returning home and to school with new friends, experiences and skills.

Our summer camp locations and activities are open to all groups and are offered from May to June, and from September to October. We also offer these locations during the winter season. Our GECO Camp Sifah opens in November through to April. Contact us for more details.
