Cambodia offers a fantastic opportunity to explore the culture and history of the country on foot and bicycle.  Renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site  Angkor Wat is a highlight of the trip.

The following itinerary is for 6 nghts/7 days based on 20 paying students and 3 teachers free of charge.

Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap and meet your GET guide. Transfer the La Residence Blanc, or similar, hotel for check-in. Dinner and overnight. (D)
Day 2: After breakfast this morning, transfer to the village where the group will being their first day on the community project. The village is located about 30km from the hotel. The students will be split into two small groups.
Group A: will visit the local community and the project site where they will assist in building a water well and toilet.
Group B: will ride the traditional ox-cart to the rice fields to learn more about the daily lives of the local people and their work. Experience hands-on rice cutting and the farmer’s house to learn about traditional rice mill processing. Transfer back to town for lunch and break. In the afternoon, return to the project sites and rotate on activities. Return to the hotel to freshen up before heading out to dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. (B/L/D)
Day 3: A relatively early start and depart for the village to continue your work on the community project. Two groups once again: Group 1 working on the well and toilet project; Group 2 painting, in the morning. Rotate activities after lunch. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon to freshen up. Dinner is at Il Forno Pizza Restaurant. (B/L/D)
Day 4: A return to the village and continue with a final day on the community project. Group 1 will continue with the well and toilet project; Group 2 will help in the local school assisting with some teaching in some classrooms. Rotate after lunch. Return to the hotel before heading out to dinner at the Bombay Kitchen Indian restaurant. (B/L/D)
Day 5: A change of activities today as you visit and hike up Kulen Mountain. The hike takes approximately 2 hours to reach the village of Khulen, through impressive jungle and several temples. Visit the River of a Thousand Lingas, and the impressive waterfall, where you can have a swim. Lunch in the village and return by bus back to Siem Reap. Before returning to your hotel visit the War Museum to learn about the last three decades of war which have ravaged Cambodia. Time at your hotel to freshen up and bike fitting. Dinner at the Bug Cafe!! (B/L/D)
Day 6: Today the group will venture out on a bike ride which will take you to the famous Angkor Wat Temple Complex, where you will visit all of the major temples: Kravan Temple, and the famous Ta Phrom Temple, left in the state it was rediscovered with huge fig trees growing up through it. It is also where they filmed Tomb Raider. Lunch at Angkor Wat Temple followed by a visit of this most famous temple. Distance cycled today will be approximately 30 km. Dinner at your own expense in Pub Street. After dinner visit the Night Market. (B/L)
Day 7: Departure day. Souvenir shopping the morning before transfer to the airport fro your flight home - lunch at own cost dependent on flight time. (B)
