Duke of Edinburgh Award

GET provides opportunities for young people to complete the programme at the various levels: Bronze, Silver & Gold. Our focus is on the Adventurous Journey component of the Award, offering trips which encompass both the practice and assessment ventures.

Overview

For a number of schools in an international setting travelling overseas for their Adventurous Journey may be a necessity to ensure their Award Candidates can take full advantage of the setting and resources available to complete the Award successfully and safely.

Many of our school partners request for both the Practice and Qualifying Venture to be incorporated into a trip. The benefits of this are:

Ensuring that the Award Candidates can practice the required skills in the environment they will conduct their Qualifying Venture.
Add in reflection and rest days between both Practice and Qualifying Ventures, which in turn can also be used as an opportunity to further their experience in the country they are visiting.
Our options include both Exploration and Expedition options for schools in those destinations we offer the Adventurous Journey.
