Tanzania Highlights – 7 Days – CAS

Experience the spirit of Tanzania through a meaningful CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) project, cultural encounters, and unforgettable wildlife adventures. From hands-on school initiatives to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, this journey blends impact, learning, and exploration.
Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your lodge to relax after your journey.
Day 2 – CAS Project at St Pius School
Begin your CAS project at St Pius School, contributing to ongoing community initiatives and building connections with local students.
Day 3 – CAS Project in Action
Continue with hands-on activities supporting the school’s development.
Day 4 – CAS Farewell Ceremony
Complete your final morning of service before a farewell ceremony with the school community. Return to Arusha for downtime and dinner.
Day 5 – Maasai Village & Gibbs Farm
Travel towards Ngorongoro, stopping to visit a Maasai village and Gibbs Farm plantation before arriving at your lodge on the crater’s edge.
Day 6 – Ngorongoro Safari
Spend a full day on safari in the Ngorongoro Crater in search of the Big 5 and other iconic wildlife, before returning to Arusha for a final celebration.
Day 7 – Souvenirs & Departure
Visit the Maasai market for last-minute shopping before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
Zanzibar Highlights – 7 Days – CAS

Day 1 – Arrival & Jozani Forest
Arrive in Zanzibar and transfer to your hotel. Explore Jozani Forest on a guided walk to spot rare Red Colobus Monkeys and visit the mangrove boardwalk.
Day 2 – Dhow Cruise & Sandbank
Sail on a traditional dhow to Prison Island to see the giant tortoises, then snorkel and enjoy a beach bbq on Nakupenda Sandbank.
Day 3 – CAS Project at Chukwani School
Return to Chukwani School for your CAS project, connecting with the local community and continuing work started in 2024.
Day 4 – CAS Project & Stone Town
Spend a second day on your CAS project before farewells with the school, followed by free time to shop and explore Stone Town’s boutiques.
Day 5 – Mikumi Safari
Fly to mainland Tanzania for a full-day safari in Mikumi National Park, spotting elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and more, before returning to Zanzibar.
Day 6 – Spice Tour & Kendwa Beach
Visit a spice farm to learn about Zanzibar’s history as the “Spice Island,” then spend the afternoon relaxing at Kendwa Beach.
Day 7 – Stone Town & Departure
Take a guided walking tour of historic Stone Town, visiting key cultural and heritage sites, before final shopping and departure.

Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your lodge in Arusha. Rest, acclimatise, and prepare for the trek with a briefing and kit check.
Day 2 – Trek to Machame Camp
Begin your climb at Machame Village and trek through lush rainforest, spotting Colobus monkeys on the way to your first camp (3000m).
Day 3 – Shira Plateau
Climb steadily out of the forest into volcanic landscapes and savannah grasslands before reaching Shira Camp (3840m).
Day 4 – Lava Tower & Barranco Valley
Ascend to Lava Tower at 4600m before descending into the spectacular Barranco Valley, camping at 3950m.
Day 5 – Karanga Camp
A shorter day of trekking across the Barranco Wall and along ridges, giving time to acclimatise before reaching Karanga Camp.
Day 6 – Barafu Camp
Hike across a rocky moraine to Barafu Camp (4550m), with views of Kibo and Mawenzi Peaks. Early rest before summit day.
Day 7 – Summit Day – Uhuru Peak
Begin your midnight ascent to Stella Point for sunrise, then continue to Uhuru Peak (5895m), the roof of Africa. Celebrate before descending to Mweka Camp.
Day 8 – Return to Arusha
Descend through montane forest to Machame Village. Say farewell to your trek crew, then return to Arusha for a celebratory dinner.
Day 9 – Safari in Tarangire
Head out on safari in Tarangire National Park, home to elephants, lions, and giraffes. Overnight in a glamping-style tented camp inside the park.
Day 10 – Arusha & Departure
Return to Arusha for lunch and souvenir shopping at the Maasai Market before your evening transfer to the airport.

No – we provide example itienraires based on the first contact with a school and request for a specifc destination and type of programme. Once we establish the focus, number of days and other requirements, such as hotel standard, type of trsansport, food etc, we then fine tune a tailored programme that specifically meets a schools needs.
All schools will receive our terms and conditions with our first proposal. Our terms and conditions outline the payment schedule and terms of payment and cancellation. No trip is confirmed until a depsoit or full payment has been received.
The contract for any trip is between GET and the school. It is the school responsibility to liaisie with parents and students, sell the trip to parents and students and collect any payments as per our terms and conditions. It is the schools responsbility to enxure parents and students are aware of GET Terms and Condtions when promoiting a trip, and this includes payment and cancellation terms.
Our terms and contditions explain the process and period of cancellation and refund. It is important to note that once a school makes confirmation and initial deposit for a trip, comprehensive insurance cover should also be taken in the event anyone has to withdraw from the trip for various reasons which may be covered by the insurance. The period between confirmation and the actual trip dates is important to be covered fully.
Yes. All GET team members undergo background and safeguarding checks, and specialist activity providers are licensed and vetted.
Comprehensive risk assessments are conducted for every activity and location. Copies can be provided in advance for schools, and our staff review risks daily depending on weather and local conditions. Note, that schools will still required to arrange their own risk assessments in line with their own school policy and studetns attending the trip.
We request dietary requirements in advance and liaise directly with hotels/restaurants. Allergen information is communicated to catering teams, and staff monitor meals to ensure compliance. Any very specifc requirements may require addtional follow up and charge.
GET leaders carry mobile phones, satellite phones (where needed), and emergency contact numbers.
Yes. We require comprehensive travel insurance including medical cover, activity cover (e.g., trekking, rafting, skiing), and repatriation. Schools should arrange this to ensure the whole group are covered under the same policy for the trip.
This is possible and should be requested in good time prior to any trip and only once a trip has been confirmed and deposit has been paid. GET will cover costs for the visiting teacher when in country. GET will not be responsible for travel costs to and from country of visit and some meals during the trip. Site visits should normally last between 3-5 days depending on the type of trip.
