FAQ

Are itineraries set or do schools have the option to request specifc visits and activities related to the needs of the students?

No – we provide example itienraires based on the first contact with a school and request for a specifc destination and type of programme. Once we establish the focus, number of days and other requirements, such as hotel standard, type of trsansport, food etc, we then fine tune a tailored programme that specifically meets a schools needs.

All schools will receive our terms and conditions with our first proposal. Our terms and conditions outline the payment schedule and terms of payment and cancellation. No trip is confirmed until a depsoit or full payment has been received.

The contract for any trip is between GET and the school. It is the school responsibility to liaisie with parents and students, sell the trip to parents and students and collect any payments as per our terms and conditions. It is the schools responsbility to enxure parents and students are aware of GET Terms and Condtions when promoiting a trip, and this includes payment and cancellation terms.

Our terms and contditions explain the process and period of cancellation and refund. It is important to note that once a school makes confirmation and initial deposit for a trip, comprehensive insurance cover should also be taken in the event anyone has to withdraw from the trip for various reasons which may be covered by the insurance. The period between confirmation and the actual trip dates is important to be covered fully.

Yes. All GET team members undergo background and safeguarding checks, and specialist activity providers are licensed and vetted.

Comprehensive risk assessments are conducted for every activity and location. Copies can be provided in advance for schools, and our staff review risks daily depending on weather and local conditions. Note, that schools will still required to arrange their own risk assessments in line with their own school policy and studetns attending the trip.

We request dietary requirements in advance and liaise directly with hotels/restaurants. Allergen information is communicated to catering teams, and staff monitor meals to ensure compliance. Any very specifc requirements may require addtional follow up and charge.

GET leaders carry mobile phones, satellite phones (where needed), and emergency contact numbers.

Yes. We require comprehensive travel insurance including medical cover, activity cover (e.g., trekking, rafting, skiing), and repatriation. Schools should arrange this to ensure the whole group are covered under the same policy for the trip.

This is possible and should be requested in good time prior to any trip and only once a trip has been confirmed and deposit has been paid. GET will cover costs for the visiting teacher when in country. GET will not be responsible for travel costs to and from country of visit and some meals during the trip. Site visits should normally last between 3-5 days depending on the type of trip.
