Oman Edventure Camps – GECO Camp Sifah
Adventure, teamwork and outdoor skills on Oman’s wild coastline.
Set on the stunning coastline near Muscat, this residential camp blends adventure activities, survival skills, and environmental discovery. Students live close to nature in tents, learn teamwork through outdoor challenges, and explore Oman’s unique landscapes from beach to dunes.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Muscat, transfer to Sifah Beach Camp for orientation, tent set-up, and ice-breaker games.
Day 2 – Rotating activities including bushcraft, survival bracelets, beach hikes, scavenger hunts, trail biking, slack-lining and orienteering.
Day 3 – Continue rotation of outdoor skills and adventure challenges across all activity stations.
Day 4 – Water-based day at Sifah Resort/Marina with kayaking, raft-building, snorkelling and beach games, ending with outdoor cinema night.
Day 5 – Camp pack-up, transfer to Old Muscat to visit the Palace and Muttrah Souq before departure.

This short but rich program showcases Oman’s most iconic cultural and natural landmarks in a compact journey. Perfect for young student groups looking for a mix of history, adventure, and authentic experiences.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival at Muscat International Airport, transfer to Nizwa to visit the old capital, fort and souq. Afternoon tour of Al Hoota Cave museum, then transfer to Shorfet Alamayn Resort for check-in, team games, dinner, and overnight.
Day 2 – Split activities: Group visits to Misfat Al Abreieen traditional mountain village and Bait al Safa Living Museum. Afternoon swap of activities. Evening camping experience inside Jibreen Castle with traditional dinner and entertainment.
Day 3 – Breakfast in Jibreen Castle, then visit Oman Through Ages Museum. After lunch, transfer to Muscat International Airport for flight home.
Day 4 – (Optional): Extend trip with transfer to Jebel Shams Resort, including the spectacular Balcony Hike along the Grand Canyon of Arabia. Overnight camping at Jebel Shams Resort.

Day 1 – Arrival in Muscat, transfer to Jebel Shams via Bait al Safa Museum and Misfat al Abryeen; camp at Jebel Shams Resort.
Day 2 – Hike the Grand Canyon rim trail from Al Khitaym with picnic lunch in the cave; return to camp.
Day 3 – Transfer via Nizwa Fort and souq to Wahiba Sands desert; hike to Bedouin camp, sandboarding, and stargazing.
Day 4 – Sunrise in the desert, visit Wadi Bani Khalid for swimming, then transfer to Jebel Sifah and check in at GECO Camp.
Day 5 – Outdoor adventure day at GECO Camp with bushcraft, orienteering, and team-building activities.
Day 6 – Dolphin watching boat trip with snorkelling, then beach activities at Dunes Beach Club (SUP, raft building, games).
Day 7 – Muscat city tour including Grand Mosque, Al Alam Palace, Corniche, old port, and Muttrah Souq; transfer to airport.

No – we provide example itienraires based on the first contact with a school and request for a specifc destination and type of programme. Once we establish the focus, number of days and other requirements, such as hotel standard, type of trsansport, food etc, we then fine tune a tailored programme that specifically meets a schools needs.
All schools will receive our terms and conditions with our first proposal. Our terms and conditions outline the payment schedule and terms of payment and cancellation. No trip is confirmed until a depsoit or full payment has been received.
The contract for any trip is between GET and the school. It is the school responsibility to liaisie with parents and students, sell the trip to parents and students and collect any payments as per our terms and conditions. It is the schools responsbility to enxure parents and students are aware of GET Terms and Condtions when promoiting a trip, and this includes payment and cancellation terms.
Our terms and contditions explain the process and period of cancellation and refund. It is important to note that once a school makes confirmation and initial deposit for a trip, comprehensive insurance cover should also be taken in the event anyone has to withdraw from the trip for various reasons which may be covered by the insurance. The period between confirmation and the actual trip dates is important to be covered fully.
Yes. All GET team members undergo background and safeguarding checks, and specialist activity providers are licensed and vetted.
Comprehensive risk assessments are conducted for every activity and location. Copies can be provided in advance for schools, and our staff review risks daily depending on weather and local conditions. Note, that schools will still required to arrange their own risk assessments in line with their own school policy and studetns attending the trip.
We request dietary requirements in advance and liaise directly with hotels/restaurants. Allergen information is communicated to catering teams, and staff monitor meals to ensure compliance. Any very specifc requirements may require addtional follow up and charge.
GET leaders carry mobile phones, satellite phones (where needed), and emergency contact numbers.
Yes. We require comprehensive travel insurance including medical cover, activity cover (e.g., trekking, rafting, skiing), and repatriation. Schools should arrange this to ensure the whole group are covered under the same policy for the trip.
This is possible and should be requested in good time prior to any trip and only once a trip has been confirmed and deposit has been paid. GET will cover costs for the visiting teacher when in country. GET will not be responsible for travel costs to and from country of visit and some meals during the trip. Site visits should normally last between 3-5 days depending on the type of trip.
