It is the schools responsbility to enxure parents and students are aware of GET Terms and Condtions when promoiting a trip, and this includes payment and cancellation terms.
Our terms and contditions explain the process and period of cancellation and refund. It is important to note that once a school makes confirmation and initial deposit for a trip, comprehensive insurance cover should also be taken in the event anyone has to withdraw from the trip for various reasons which may be covered by the insurance. Yes. We require comprehensive travel insurance including medical cover, activity cover (e.g., trekking, rafting, skiing), and repatriation. Schools should arrange this to ensure the whole group are covered under the same policy for the trip.
This is possible and should be requested in good time prior to any trip and only once a trip has been confirmed and deposit has been paid. GET will cover costs for the visiting teacher when in country. GET will not be responsible for travel costs to and from country of visit and some meals during the trip. Site visits should normally last between 3-5 days depending on the type of trip.
